Endurance House Wichita Falls hosted their first Sprint Tri event this weekend at Castaway Cove Waterpark. Right around 100 participants signed up to compete in this inaugural event. The adult course included a 250M swim, a 12 Mile bike ride and a 5K. There were also events for kids ranging from age 7-15. Although it was a little chilly the participants really seemed to enjoy this unique local event. There are some great photos on our Facebook page.
Thanks to Mark and Val Pinson for bringing this fun new event to town and to all the volunteers for making it such a success. We are sure that it will be even bigger and better next year!
Congratulations to everyone who completed the event. To see your results click on the “Results” tab at the top of this page.

The results for The Dam Run 13 5K & 10K are now posted. Thanks to everyone who came out to help support the Circle Trail and The ARC of Wichita Falls. It was a great morning with some terrific weather for a run. Thanks to all of our volunteers who helped to make it happen.
There were many changes to this year’s “The Duel” event. Mainly that all running events were held on one day. However, one thing didn’t change – everyone who came out to participate had a great time and praised the support and organization of the event.
Unfortunately, we had some strong winds on the paved trail again this year which slowed everyone down who was looking to post a Boston Qualifying time. However, we are happy to announce that we still had 3 individuals who were able to do just that. Christopher Jones from Southlake, TX ran a 03:14:31.35 beating the required time for his age group by less than 30 seconds and Sherri Irwin from Norman, OK ran a 03:44:49.45 beating the required time for her age group by just 11 seconds. Then there was David Hague from Keller, TX who ran a 03:17:40.73 smoking his required time by more than 12 minutes. Congratulations to all three of you!
We would also like to congratulate Kevin McCasland of Seminole, TX with a time of 03:09:08.2 and Amy Simmons of Wichita Falls, TX with a time of 03:37:29.32 as our overall male and female winners. They both ran great races. Unfortunately, they both barely missed out on posting qualifying times for Boston. We know this is very disappointing for both of these amazing runners after all the hard work they have put in training, but we know it is only a matter of time before they will accomplish their goals.
Thanks to everyone who came out to participate and/or support the runners, and a great big thank you to the race director, Sandy Monson, and all the volunteers for putting on another great event. Be sure to check the link below for all the results.
We managed to start the race this morning just before the rain started coming down. By the time everyone got back they were all drenched, but I didn’t hear a single person complain.
Thanks to everyone who came out to run or volunteer this morning. I hope you enjoyed the run and the much needed run. Results are now posted here on our website (see the link below).
Also, please check our calendar for more upcoming local events.
Have a great weekend and thank God for the rain!!!
